NBA was formed in 1984 and has been in operation since March 1985 when it acquired the Anguilla branch of the Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association. Since then, it has expanded its operations across the Anguillian financial services sector primarily through investments in an insurance company, a data processing company and a credit card processor. Our primary business remains our retail banking, which provides a wide range of services to individuals, corporate and public sector customers.
The Government of Anguilla is keen to develop a thriving, high quality financial services sector in Anguilla. The British Government supports this wholeheartedly. Both agree that proper regulation and supervision is the key to success and much effort has been invested in ensuring that Anguilla matches up to the latest international standards, particularly in the areas of anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing.
