The American Society is non-profit, charitable, international organization. Our membership is comprised of U.S. and Panamanian businessesmen and woman; retirees; U.S. Embassy personnel; and Panama Canal Authority personnel. Membership was opened to all nationalities in 1996 and we now have several members from other countries.

Many of us have realized there is a lot more here than
vacations, however!
The actual fact is that Panama is just beginning to
realize the potential in tourism, but is very well
developed in business.
Mary Sloane & her husband, Bob have purchased a great home in the Santa Clara area - approximately 2
hours up the Pacific coast out of Panama. They are retired Canadians fully embracing their new life here
in Panama. Bob now forces himself to golf everyday possible, and, as you can see, Mary has become
active in her long time wish of writing.
